NCSU's TechRevolution Maps the Future of Health and Well-Being

NC State's Office of Technology Transfer's TechRevolution series is featuring a discussion on Health and Well-Being. To learn more and to register click here. Below is an abstract from NCSU regarding the event:

NC State has defined "Health and Well-Being" as a research focus area with real-world impact. Mapping the future of health and well-being is mission-critical to NC State's research strategy, and we're currently aligning our resources to make sure our contribution to the field is as strategic and effective as possible. Join us as Dr. Bill Atkinson, President & CEO of WakeMed Health & Hospitals, shares the strategy WakeMed implements to remain a technological leader during this moment in American healthcare history. Following, Dr. Mitzi Montoya and Dr. Liana Fryer from NC State will discuss a knowledge and resource management initiative designed to define NC State's research strengths within the vast realm of Health and Well-Being. This knowledge will help researchers build new relationships, bundle discoveries, and increase research funding and impact.

FDA/CDRH starts using Twitter

FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health is adding the social media site Twitter to its communication and outreach program. CDRH's main goal for Twitter is to reach regulated industry and others interested in the business of the center in a way convenient to them. Messages on Twitter will include notices of upcoming meetings, releases of new and updated guidances documents, new web postings, and highlights of the web site and the many tools available to help users comply with regulations and understand and respond to health issues.
