Commercialization: From R&D to the Market

The seminar to be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm will be focused on commercialization for SBIR/STTR stage companies. Content will be applicable across technology sectors and agencies. Workshop will provide a review of SBIR/STTR program details and discuss technological innovation and commercial merit from an SBIR perspective.

The workshop will also provide detailed information on each section of a commercialization plan required for a Phase II SBIR/STTR proposal. In addition to discussing how to write a commercialization plan, the workshop will also explore commercialization considerations from a tactical perspective.

As most SBIR/STTR stage companies typically approach things from a technology perspective the session will address the issue of commercialization and its importance early in the development of tech-based companies and explore what entrepreneurs need to consider at this early stage.
